Erick is a military veteran who built his 15-year career leading cybersecurity operations within the intelligence community and international defense programs. Managing high-stakes digital environments taught him that real security isn't found in a box of software, it's built on clarity, trust, and protecting what actually matters.
Erick founded WaySeeker Security to bridge a critical gap in the industry: while startups and regional companies face the same sophisticated threats as the Fortune 500, they are often priced out or overlooked by traditional security firms. He believes every organization deserves genuine protection, regardless of size or budget, because cyber threats don't discriminate between a three-person office and a nationwide operation.
Maintains certifications including CISM, GSLC, CISSP, SANS FOR578 (Cyber Threat Intelligence), CECI, and NSA Cyber Network Defense/Red Team Certified.

Sumiye Jarreau serves as the primary architect of WaySeeker Security's long-term vision and market positioning. She leverages her unique perspective to guide the firm's strategic evolution, ensuring that growth remains aligned with core values.
Joshua Yang
Josh is the architect of WaySeeker Security's digital infrastructure, responsible for developing our core applications and tools. As a military veteran with a background in cloud security and progressively working on generative AI security architecture, he brings a mission-first, results-driven mindset to software development and security.
Josh built WaySeeker Security's technical foundation from the ground up. He ensures our internal systems are as secure as the environments we assess for clients. His engineering expertise provides the engine that allows WaySeeker Security to deliver precise, objective, and client-driven results.
Kate Ziebell
Kate Ziebell is a dedicated safety compliance professional with extensive experience conducting comprehensive physical security assessments, with a focus on K-12 educational facilities. She ensures rigorous adherence to state safety mandates and security regulations, while expertly bridging the gap between regulatory requirements and operational reality.
Beyond Kate’s work in the education sector, she also partners with WaySeeker Security to conduct comprehensive physical risk assessments. In this capacity, she leverages her deep background in safety compliance to identify potential vulnerabilities, evaluate site security, and provide strategic recommendations to strengthen operational defenses and ensure the safety of employees and assets.
